She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Dorothy Layne; brothers, Billy Hugh Curtis and Franklin Curtis; and sister, Anna Marie McCullum. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 39 years, Mike Protsko; sons, Billy Dean Carver, Jimmy Darrell Carver, Dale Wayne Carver; daughter, Myra Darlene (David) Grayson; brothers, Shirley Ray Curtis, Dennis Andrew Curtis; grandchildren, Tabitha, Jeremy, Billy Wayne, Addie, Brandy, Christy, Kimberly, and Christa. Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 3, from 2-8 p.m. CST. Funeral services will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Monday, Sept. 4, at 2 p.m. CST with Preacher Cecil Baxter Officiating. Interment will follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Tate Funeral Home LLC, Jasper, TN. (The Chattanoogan)
